Dave Delaney has composed a fantastic blog entry / video / podcamp presentation on using Twitter to build your personal brand. As a long-time Twitter user, I frequently find myself describing the service to both business associates and friends.
On the surface, Twitter seems silly and lacking in substance. It’s often difficult to articulate to the uninitiated how useful Twitter is at building community, content discovery, and link sharing. Additionally, even upon convincing someone to use Twitter, it’s often hard to get them to understand that the value is in the dialog, not just the broadcast.
Dave’s post explains how and why Twitter is useful, metrics of Twitter usage, and how to effectively use the service.
This site acts like a tumblog all of Dan’s stuff - blog entries, mobile updates, podcasts, pictures, video, and links - the best way to get all of this media is to add the feed. Thanks!

1Hey man, thanks for sharing this. I hope it really helps new folks understand Twitter better. I’ve also created a short tutorial for new folks, it’s very basic, but helps people get started.
